Researcher’s Notes	While it is translated into English with the title "Life and Acts of the Great Tamerlane With a description of the Lands of his Empire and Lordship", the source text by Clavijo is clearly presented as a travelogue in the sample pages of Pozitif Yayınları edition. Chapter titles from its 1859 EN edition also indicates a travelogue and a memoir. The same edition also includes a long biography of Timur, in the form of an introduction, by a seperate writer, further implying the text is not biographical.
